CONTACTLESS WASHING

The only time we touch your paintwork is with a microfibre washmitt, preventing additional swirls and marks.

Description

Our All Detailed Up Daily Detail package is a specialised, deep clean that focuses on the attention to detail. We first chemically decontaminate your vehicle using products such as bug and iron fallout removers, a snow foam is then applied to gently soften and lift dirt, which is promptly followed up by a safe shampoo wash, this contains an added gloss enhancer. A mild clay bar is then used to gently remove/reduce any remaining contaminants embedded deep within in the paintwork.

A dedicated tar removed is then applied to target stubborn areas that weren’t removed by the clay bar, we try to target the front and rear lower sills as these areas are the worst affected.

Next, we focus our attention to the interior of your vehicle. A complete antibacterial/deodorising mist is sprayed inside to kill any odours, with all surfaces steam cleaned for ultimate grime removal.

Your engine bay is then given a spruce up, cleaning covers, blackening trim and removing any excess oil that may have built up. A sling-free Tyre dressing is finally applied, making your wheels look brand new!

We then finish your paintwork with a high-quality wax, with the windows receiving a 6-week rain-repellent coating, increasing the shine and adding a layer of hydrophobicity to repel water from the surface.

What are de-bug, iron fall out and tar removers for?

Although a wash mitt and a high quality shampoo can remove the majority of contaminents, microscopic particles embedded deep within your paintwork is sadly out of the reach of a microfiber wash. Therefore, we use dedicated chemicals which dissolve these stubborn elements, whilst remaining completely touch free to reduce the chances of additional scratches. Bugs and flies are also highly acidic, which makes removing from the paintwork a challenge as they’re almost etched into the clear coat, so a strong remover is the safest way to remove them.

Why do you snow foam and brush my trims?

Whenever cleaning a car, your number one aim should be to reduce the amount of contact you have with the paintwork, as the more you touch the clear coat, the potential to impliment scratches and swirls increases. Even when using a microfibre wash mitt, you can still etch particulates into the paintwork inflicting more damage. Therefore, a snow foam is applied to the vehicle to loosen dirt and grime, letting gravity pull down and away resulting in a contactless pre-wash. We also carefully use a soft brush to loosen any dirt that may be stuck between your trims, as wash mitts may not be able to reach these areas.

What’s the difference between my bucket and sponge wash and your Daily Detail?

The primary goal of our Daily Detail is to completely decontaminate the vehicles paintwork, without adding swirls, scratches and other marks. We achieve this by taking every measure to remove dirt and contaminants without physically touching it. The more we can get off before moving onto a microfibre wash mitt, the less likely we are to mark the paintwork; this is our safe wash process.

However, during the traditional Sunday morning sponge wash, contaminants are first rubbed into the paintwork and surrounding areas by the sponge, and is then later rinsed off giving the appearance of a clean car. Additional marks are then implemented when drying the car with a chamois leather, as not all dirt particles are removed, so you end up rubbing this further into the clear coat – whilst the car looks clean, the paintwork is hazy and full of swirl marks.

What is Decontamination?

Decontamination is the process of removing contaminants such as dirt, bird fallout, tar, rubber and more that are embedded into the clearcoat, allowing for the perfect bond for a sealant (such as a premium wax or a ceramic coating). This is achieved by a combination of a gentle, yet effective touchless chemical wash, and a micro fibre contact wash.

Does my car get any sort of paintwork protection?

Once your vehicle is rid of all contaminants and dried off using a hot blow vacuum, a premium wax is applied to the surface, protecting your paintwork from the environment, increasing the gloss levels and adding hydrophobic properties; allowing for an easier maintenance wash in the future.

Why do you steam clean my interior or use a Fog-It machine?

Steam is a powerful, yet gentle cleaner that is great for lifting and removing built up grime, but also killing bacteria. Instead of using harsh and acidic interior cleaners, steam can be used on all surfaces, softening dirt allowing for a quick wipe off with a microfibre towel. In addition, we open up all the interior vents and fire a jet of steam between the fins – this is spread throughout the entire ventilation system, killing all bacteria and smells.

In addition, if interior smells still remain, we turn on our Fog-It machine with circulation aircon mode enabled. This floods the interior with an anti-bacterial mist which is circulated throughout several times, to remove any remaining odours.

How long do you need my car for?

For our Daily Detail package, we will need your vehicle for one day. It’s advisable to drop it off in the morning, in hopes to have it back to you by the end of the day.

What is the use of a warm blow vacuum, instead of a traditional chamois leather?
